Zane Trace National Trail Model Railroad Club hosts open house
ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Calling all model train enthusiasts, a local model train club is inviting you to check them out.
The Zane Trace National Trail Model Railroad Club is hosting its spring open house this weekend. Anyone interested in being a part of their organization is welcome to come out and see what they’re about.
“We’re always open to new membership. If people come up and they think they’re interested in joining they can talk to a member. We’re welcome to have anybody,” said Brian Harrier the President of the club.
Visitors will be able to get a close and personal view of the club’s collection.
“We have, I think, about 450 feet of mainline track – that’s not counting all of the sidings and spurs, yard tracks, things like that. We can run quite a few trains at a time,” said Harrier. “We’ve added more track. We’ve finished more scenery with the hills and trees and buildings. Things like that.”
The open house will take place this Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 24 S. 6th St, Zanesville.
