Zane Trace & National Trail Model Railroad Club to Host Open House

ZANESVILLE, OH -Zane Trace & National Trail Model Railroad Club are getting ready for their annual fall open house.

Rick Gooden, the Treasurer of the Model Railroad Club, said they’ve updated some of the scenery around the existing models as well as added a new N-Scale room.

“Smaller scale, less space, with people not being able to have an apartment or can do something in, something like that,” Gooden said. “And build something, and we just try to improve and do what we can do.”

Gooden said the reason they added the n scale room was because some of their members already had the smaller modules that they take to conventions all across the U.S.

He also says this open house would be the perfect time to sign up to be a member if you’ve been thinking about joining.

“We can always use new members,” Gooden said. “They can come up here, Saturday or Sunday, and contact one of the members. You have to come to three meetings, so we can get to know you, and then there’s a voting process.”

The Zane Trace & National Road Model Train Club is located at 24 S 6th Street in Downtown Zanesville. The Open House is a 2-day event that will take place this weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 4PM.
