Zanesville boxer wins Ohio super welterweight title

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Zanesville boxer Zakery “Ripper” Rollins has won the Ohio super welterweight title and will bring the belt back to Muskingum County.
The 20-year-old defeated Daniel Karpency of Pennsylvania in front of a sold out crowd at the Hollywood Casino in Columbus. The victory keeps Rollins undefeated with a professional record of 6-0.
According to his trainer, Tim Hartmeyer, Rollins won the eight round bout by a unanimous judges’ decision. The match was sanctioned by the Ohio Athletic Commission and was apart of the Arnold Expo.
