There’s a lot more singing and dancing going on here in Zanesville.

The Zanesville Community Theater debuted the popular musical Chicago over the weekend. And you will see a familiar face.

“Most of the cast have not been dancers, said Director Eric Blake. “So they all had to learn to dance. They are all singers but they all had to learn to dance for the most part. The cast has is having an amazing good time. And you can see that in in their performance.”

WHIZ’s very own Phil Sakal is a part of the cast. Chicago will have it’s finial curtain call on Sunday the 24th. Current showtimes for the musical are 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 on Sundays.

“The excitement in the community for this show has been awesome. The audience has had a a wonderful time. Sold out crowds both nights and we’re looking at selling out today. And tickets are going fast for next weekend,” said Blake.

Tickets for Chicago are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors ages 55 and up, military personnel, and students. You can purchase tickets online at zct.org or at the door.
