Zanesville Concert Association Getting Ready For 77th Season
The Zanesville Concert Association is getting ready to kick off their 77th Season.
The music begins on October 3 at Secrest Auditorium. A painting of the Golden Gate Bridge will be auctioned off on opening night. It is a print from the original piece by Tony Bennett. All of the money raised from the auction goes to the Zanesville Concert Association. Booking Agent for the Zanesville Concert Association, Jim McLaughlin, told us more about their opening night performance
“This year starts out with Antonia Bennett. We had her father here a few years ago, Tony Bennet.” Said McLaughlin, “…That will be our opening event. We’ll have a gala meet and greet after the concert.”
The other big name acts include The 5 Browns, Polish Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra and Intersection Piano Trio. McLaughlin told us more about why they bring these individuals through each year.
“To bring culture to our area of the state.” He explained, “You know, around here we don’t have a lot of music activities for people and this is also I think a marketing part of our community and that if you have a business here, your employees need to have quality of life so we always bring top name artists.”
