Zanesville Defends Home Court, Defeats Lakewood in Girls Basketball

ZANESVILLE, OH- The second-half of the Zanesville and Lakewood girls basketball game brought plenty of offense for both teams.

The Blue Devils got the party started as Kandrea Sowers made a couple big plays to help her team gain momentum and start off the half on the right foot.

The Lancers would respond with two quick baskets from Grace Sturgell and Cam Martindale to keep Lakewood in the game.

Both teams traded baskets throughout the rest of the game and each squad went on runs in the second half of the game.

But when the dust settled, it would be Zanesville taking this one over Lakewood 53-40.
