Zanesville Does it Again on the Road

High School Boys Basketball:
Zanesville 43 Dover 40
If there’s one phrase that’s been the calling card Scott Aronhalt’s Blue Devils over the years, it’s been "respect winning." It’s what gets the Zanesville basketball players out of bed on a summer morning; it’s what the Blue Devils continue to do this season.
In a battle between the thirteenth and fourteenth winningest programs in Ohio State basketball history, the Blue Devils beat Dover in the first matchup between the two teams as league opponents. The Blue Devils enjoyed a lead as large as eight late in the game, but the Tornadoes surged late, as several Zanesville opponents have done this year. The Blue Devils maintained their composure down the stretch, hitting some clutch free throws to preserve the victory.
The Blue Devils remain the only team with an unbreaten record in ECOL play, running that conference record to 5-0. Zanesville is also still a perfect 6-0 away from Winland Memorial Gymnasium. The Blue Devils are back home Friday night, hosting Coshocton.
