Zanesville Fire Chief Retires – New Chief Named

There is a changing of the guard at the Zanesville Fire Department. After 25 years of service Chief Kevin Thomas is stepping down and retiring. Today a reception was held for the outgoing chief at the Central Fire Station as a way of saying thanks for a job well done. Zanesville Mayor Jeff Tilton says the new Chief of the fire department will be Eric Waltemire. He was most recently an assistant fire chief.
