Zanesville Fire Department Celebrates Christmas

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Protecting the community so we can enjoy our holidays safely at home.
All three of the Zanesville Fire Departments came together downtown to celebrate their Christmas. The Firefighters had to come into work on Christmas, but it didn’t stop them from making brunch and having a good time together.
“Today, we’re having Christmas brunch. All three crews, coming in from the out stations, coming to the central station. We get to have Christmas with our brothers here at the Central station. Since we can’t be with our families, we get to be with our brothers here at work,” said Probationary Firefighter, Landon Duhamel.
The Firemen really built a family relationship within the department. They make sure we can all have a safe holidays with our families.
“It’s always important for the community, for us to be still doing our jobs on a holiday. Protecting those who are spending time with their families. We’re here to show up in their time of need, if they need us,” he added.
The Firefighters also did a similar brunch for Thanksgiving, and it’s a way to bring a sense of togetherness within the department.
