Zanesville Firefighters fill their boots for Muscular Dystrophy
ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Area Firefighters are fighting more than fires this weekend.
Zanesville City Firefighters took to Bell Street by Wal-Mart Friday to collect money for the fight against Muscular Dystrophy as part of their annual Fill the Boots Campaign. Last year they raised over 6,000 dollars to help those stricken with the rare disease.
“It helps provide kids with the ability to go summer camp they have a MDA camp throughout the summer. Also some of the proceeds go to houses that need ramps or what not for wheelchairs and different accessories that the kids need.” said Firefighter Chad Brock.
Firefighters will be out Saturday on Zane Street from 10 am to 4 pm.
