Zanesville Funeral Director Dies

A well know area funeral director has died. 72-year-old Dave Hillis passed away at the Oaks at Bethesda following a lengthy illness. Hillis and his brother were second generation owners of the Hillis Funeral Home. He was very active in the Zanesville community by serving many organizations including past president of the Zanesville Jaycees, Noon Rotary Club and the Muskingum County Health Department Board of Directors. Friends may call Wednesday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home where a Christian Vigil will be held at 8:00 PM. The funeral is Thursday at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Hillis will be laid to rest at Mt Olive Cemetery with full military honors.
