Zanesville District Golf Association held annual golf show

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local golf show made its way back to the city of Zanesville.
Saturday, the Zanesville District Golf Association hosted their annual golf show, where they had everything from a silent auction to vendors selling merchandise and golf equipment.
“We have the Z.D.G.A. golf show going on. We have a lot of manufacturers here. You’ll see Titleist, Mizuno, Ping, Callaway and Wilson here. Plus we have a lot of other vendors and we have eight of the area golf clubs here. All offering merchandise, packages, outing rate services and all things to get ready for the golf season,” said Head golf professional, Mike Durant.
With this event being years in the making, Durant stressed the importance of giving back to the youth and preparing the way for the next generation of golfers.
“This is 25 years of doing the Z.D.G.A. golf show. Each year we host it to raise money for our Junior golf tournament program and scholarship program. Last year we gave out $55,000 in scholarships to kids that we’re going off to college, three boys and three girls. Through those 25 years we’ve given out $58,000 in scholarships so it’s a great cause,” said Durant.
The show was held from 11:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m at Eaglesticks Golf Club.
