Zanesville Man on Probation

A man who ran away with a Zanesville High School teenager is released after serving his sentence on two felony counts of interference with custody.

In Judge Kelly Cotrill’s courtroom, Mike Wutzler, was met with terms of his probation now that he’s out of jail. The 23-year-old was placed on community control for three years, he must obtain full time employment, perform public service and attend a victim awareness seminar.

Zanesville Police said in September of last year, Wutzler and then 14-year-old Christina Ford traveled to South Carolina without her parents knowledge, setting off a search for the teen that lasted several days. He was sentenced to one year in prison in December.
