Zanesville Man Sentenced in Major Drug Case

A Zanesville man is sentenced to 36 months in prison in connection with a local drug bust that netted $150,000 in drugs and $60,000 in cash last year.  The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says 21-year-old Kenley Body Jr. went before Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle to learn his fate.  Earlier Body had pled guilty to 1 count of Trafficking in Drugs.  On August 7th of last year the Zanesville/Muskingum County Drug Unit, the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force and Licking County authorities executed seven search warrants in Muskingum and Licking Counties that included six homes and one business and seized the money and drugs, along with eight vehicles, 12 motorcycles and six guns.  As a result of the investigation, the Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges on eight individuals.
