Zanesville Man Turns 100 Years Old

Robert Wright, also known as Bob, was born November 13, 1915 and yesterday he reached a milestone.

“I’m 100-hundred years old,” said Wright.

That’s right, he turned 100 years old Friday the 13th. Wright was born in North Dakota, and at the age of 16 he got onto a freight train and came to Ohio. He has been here ever since. Saturday his family and friends came to celebrate 100 years of love and laughter.

“This is my grandpa, he’s one hundred years old today. He is a phenomenal person,” said Taryn Miller.

Taryn told us, if it wasn’t for her grand-father she wouldn’t be where she is today.

“It’s valuable to have your grandparent. I love him very much. I wouldn’t be where I am without him,” said Miller.

When we asked Wright what was his secret in making it this far in life, he had this to say.

“Well, I don’t know. As I told you, I didn’t do anything special. I never ate right. I don’t like vegetables,” said Wright.

Wright plans to celebrate the rest of his birthday with his loved one and watching OSU win.
