Zanesville Memorial Concert Graces Zane Landing Park for the Second Time this Summer

Music you can move to danced in the warm breeze at Zane Landing park this evening.

The Zanesville Memorial Concert Band performed for the second time this summer. Around 300 people came to watch the 55 band members perform.The set featured hits like ‘Mambo Number 5’. Artistic Director of the band Jeff Roquemore said the weather was the icing on top of a musical cake.

“The best thing about today besides the band sounding great tonight, the weather,” said Roquemore. “It just all that rain of all last week has disappeared and it’s rather pleasant here tonight and the city has the park looking really good.I’m just very pleased that the crowd came and we were able to play for them. ”

The next concert is scheduled for July 5 at Secrest Auditorium. The night will be a patriotic one in honor of the Fourth of July weekend.
