Zanesville Museum of Art will open new exhibition Friday

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Zanesville Museum of Art has priceless pieces. On Monday the museum allowed our crews to take a sneak a peek of the installation of their newest exhibition.
“It’s an exhibition of 37 works. We have drawings, works on paper, prints, and we have paintings,” Zanesville Museum of Art, Executive Director, Laine Snyder said.
This is the beginning stages of Zanesville Museum of Art’s American Modernism, Urban Realism, and the Eight fall exhibition.
“Today is our big installation day. Installation days are always really exciting. We have a crew here, an exhibition installation team here installing all of the various works,” Snyder said.
A private collector has loaned the museum nearly one million dollars worth of artwork for this exhibition.
“He recommended why not have an exhibition of the eights. This group of eight artists, who were prominent around 1908,” Sydner said.
The exhibition opens Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission for the museum and exhibition is free.
