Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is Surveying Businesses

Bus Survey

Bus SurveyZANESVILLE, Ohio- Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is asking businesses for their opinion.

Chamber President, Tom Poorman said the chamber surveys local businesses every 6 months. The survey asks businesses to predict what is going to happen to their business and what challenges they face.

“The point of this survey is we are trying to keep our finger on the pulse on the local economic climate, the local business climate. We also what to know if there is anything we can do. We can use this data to determine is there anything we can do as a community, a chamber to help these businesses. Help them remain competitive. Help them remain strong. And perhaps even grow,” said Poorman.

Poorman said this survey is not new to this area.

“It’s something that we did years ago, then we took some time off. We’ve just resumed it in the second half of 2015. And now doing it again in early 2016. People like participating in this. And we are encouraging all area businesses to do that. And they also can use the results for their own planning. It’s helpful to us but it’s also helpful to them. They get to state their opinion.  A business owner can use those results in his own estimation of where he thinks the local economy is going,” said Poorman.

Poorman said they will offer the survey for the next two weeks. The survey can be found on the chamber’s website by clicking the link called “Business Outlook Survey.”
