Zanesville OSHP Names Trooper of the Year for 2025

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Zanesville Post has named their Trooper of the Year for 2025.

Trooper Stephen Wagers was chosen as a recognition of his service, professionalism, and dedication to the safety of the community.

Wagers is a 2014 graduate of Newark High School but it wasn’t until 2018 when he joined the Patrol as a member of the 164th Academy Class.

He was assigned to the Cambridge Post before later being transferred to the Zanesville POst in 2022.

Trooper Wagers also received the Patrol’s Master Trooper Designation for 2025 and will be serving as a field training officer.

In his off time he enjoys camping with his wife, Cassidy, and their two children.
