Zanesville Shooting Now Homicide
The investigation into the shooting of a Zanesville man is now ruled homicide after the death of the victim.
Twenty-seven-year old Dajuan McKenzie was pronounced dead Thursday night at Grant Medical Center in Columbus at approximately 11:05 p.m.
"Yesterday it was being investigated very seriously and due to the seriousness of the wounds, we had a pretty good idea that the victim was not going to survive," said Roush.
No arrests have been made yet.
"Numerous detectives are working on this case at this time, interviewing various people involved in some way," said Roush. "We are still asking the public for help. If anyone has any suspects in this case or information that they feel could be important to the case, we’re asking them to please contact us."
Police believe the driver of a 1984 Blue Chevy Monte Carlo may be connected to the case.
