Zanesville Woman Dies in Morning Crash
Angel S. Morrison, 40, of Zanesville was driving north on Old River Road in a 1991 Ford Bronco around 11:25 Monday morning.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that Morrison drove off the right side of the road near Butterbean Ridge Road, just south of Philo. When she went off the roadway, a press release from the State Patrol stated that Morrison hit a tree, went over an embankment and her car finally came to rest on a log. After which, the patrol stated her car caught on fire. When fire and EMS crews arrived on the scene, the car was completely engulfed in flames.
According to the patrol, Morrison was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, and alcohol is not considered a factor. The incident remains under investigation by the Zanesville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
