ZHS Alumni Gathering

The Zanesville High School Alumni Association is inviting the community to its annual alumni gathering.

The event is Friday, September 18 from 5 until 6:30 p.m. in the Zanesville High School cafetorium. Those in attendance will be treated to a lasagna dinner with salad, breadsticks and dessert. Besides enjoying a good meal, the Association is offering homecoming football tickets at a discounted price.

“It’s before the football game and it’s a real nice gathering, many times different classes will reserve tables and all sit together and have sort of a mini reunion, then go down to the game and enjoy the evening, said Board Member, Wayne Carpenter.

The Blue Devils are taking on the Tri-Valley Scotties that evening and all money raised from the gathering will benefit the Association’s scholarship fund. The Association currently awards four $1,000 scholarships to eligible Zanesville High School graduating seniors.

“In the past five years, we have given over $16,000 of scholarship money,” Carpenter said.
