ZMC Chamber Hosts Farewell Party for Long Serving VP

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce hosted a Farewell Party for a long serving member.

Kelly Ashby, the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and the Convention and Visitors Bureau, is leaving after 31 years.

She has accepted the role as Executive Director of the Genesis Foundation and will start there on Nov.18th.

Ashby said it’s very bittersweet leaving all of the friends and memories she’s made in the last 31 years.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed, thoroughly enjoyed, 31 years here at the Chamber and the CVB and the community is absolutely phenomenal,” Ashby said. “Everyone that I have crossed paths with. I am just excited that my new opportunity will also keep me here in the community and continue working with the fabulous people that I know.”

Ashby said she has completed a lot in her 31 years with the Chamber but the highlight of it was being able to speak to locals and out of state visitors about everything there is to see and do here in Muskingum County.

She said it will be a hard day on Friday when she says goodbye to everyone.

“It’s definitely hard, it is definitely a hard departure. This Chamber team is absolutely my family, my work family,” Ashby explained. “I just absolutely cherish all of the memories that have been made here and I, I just can’t thank the community enough and the Chamber enough for allowing me to have 31 years here.”

Ashby also wanted to thank her family for always supporting her in all her endeavors.
