ZMC Chamber of Commerce Annual Legislative Breakfast

Legislative Breakfast

ZANESVILLE, OH – Members of the Chamber of Commerce had the opportunity today to hear from elected State and Federal Officials.

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Legislative Breakfast this morning at the Welcome Center.

The guest speakers included U.S. Congressman Troy Balderson (R) 12th District, State Senator Al Landis, and Ohio State Representative Adam Holmes.

Congressman Balderson said this was a great event for local businesses to ask questions and get updates from elected officials.

“There’s a lot of questions [businesses] have and there’s also a lot of misunderstanding out there.” Balderson said. “A lot of people come up to me and say, “We don’t really know where to get our information.” So I think this is a great outlet for them, they can actually come up to us and speak to us.”

Dana Matz, President of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, said this event was important to keep the line of communication open between legislators and local businesses.

“We all win when that happens.” Matz said. “We’re very fortunate to have responsive legislators serving our district.”

The Chamber of Commerce is already gearing up for their next event.

Chamber Week 2024 will take place from March 11th through the 15th.
