ZPD Investigates Shots Fired

The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a report of shots fired.

Investigators say it happened just before midnight Thursday at a home at 725 Bates Street and another home just east of it.

Police say they received numerous 9-1-1 calls about 5 or 6 gunshots fired. Officers say they do not have a motive in the incident and no injuries were reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
