ZPD Investigates Midnight Accident

The Zanesville Police Department says it’s investigating an early Wednesday morning accident that may have involved an impaired driver. Lt. Scott Comstock says just after 12:00 midnight a vehicle slammed into the Subway Restaurant in the downtown. The initial call came into the highway patrol concerning a reckless driver on I-70.  Z-P-D assisted and discovered the vehicle into the building.   No injuries were reported and very minor damage occurred to the building. The driver is being investigating for Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence.
