ZPD Investigates Shooting/Home Invasion

Zanesville Police say they are investigating a Tuesday evening home invasion and shooting incident.  Detective Sergeant Harry Taylor says it happened around 8:10 p.m. at 1017 Greenwood Avenue.  Investigators say the home was entered by two black males that demanded money from the persons inside.  Both subjects had handguns and a struggle occurred.  Detective Taylor says during the incident one person in the home was shot and suffered a severe laceration and the other received multiple severe lacerations.  After that incident both suspects fled the home on foot and may have entered a tan 2000’s model Buick parked in the area,  Police describe the suspect as being of medium height, medium build wearing dark clothing and face coverings.
