ZPD Locates Missing Teenager

The search is over for a missing Muskingum County teenager. On Thursday the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office asked the public for help in finding 18-year-old Jessica Reed. Detectives wanted to verify that Reed’s disappearance was voluntary. ZPD Captain Tony Coury says since the case was within the city limits it was turned over to Zanesville Police on Friday who were able to make contact with Reed on Saturday and set up a meeting with the missing girl and her mother on Sunday. The two met at the Wal-Mart store on Georgesville Road in Columbus on Sunday and now the case is closed.
