ZPD: “Operation Citizen Complaint” a Success

Zanesville Police Chief Tony Coury is releasing details from a major drug enforcement operation. Coury says the department’s Special Investigating Unit conducted “Operation Citizen Complaint” on October 18th. He says there was a total of 13 traffic stops and 3 search warrants which resulted in the seizure of narcotics, drug paraphernalia and felony charges for six people arrested and pending felony charges against five other suspects. Chief Coury says searches occurred at 388 Englewood Avenue, 836 Luck Avenue and 115 East King Street in South Zanesville. Coury say they recovered crack cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, pills and an unknown substance. The busts were the result of months of complaints from area citizens.  Zanesville Police were assisted by the Cambridge Police Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force and South Zanesville Police Department.
