ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The Zanesville Trace National Trail Model Railroad Club held their second open house of the year this afternoon.

The open house was not only intended to bring recognition to their club and it’s members, but also to help raise funds for Christ’s Table.

“The open house is in conjunction with Christ’s Table to raise some money for them to help with their food. We have open houses, this is our second one, we will have another one probably in the fall– open to the public. We’ve been in here for just about four years and we’ve made pretty good progress,” said Rick Gooden, Treasurer for the ZTNT Model Railroad Club.

Gooden also says that the club is always looking for new members, especially young members that will help the club continue to thrive in the future.

“We have about 17 members, we’re always looking for some more. We’re open Tuesdays from 6:30, 7 o’clock until about 9. And if anybody is interested they can come up at that time and talk to a member, whoever is up here. The only thing with younger members is they have to have a sponsor, and they can’t come up here by themselves. But we’re trying to get some younger people involved in it,” explained Gooden.

For additional information regarding the club or becoming a member, visit the club’s website at http://ztntmrr.tripod.com/ or visit them at 24 S. 6th St. in downtown Zanesville.
