15 Cats looking for Forever Homes at Discounted Price

The Animal Shelter is having discounted adoption fees for 15 felines in need of families.

These pets of the week have been at the shelter for almost three months and Executive Director Jody Murray said these cats need to move onto their forever homes soon.

“We want to try to do something to get them out in order to keep them healthy and to find them a god home because again the longer they stay here, the more likely it is they’re going to end up sick,” said Murray.

The adoption fee for each feline is just $15.00 and it includes one free visit back to the shelter’s wellness center for updates on shots and treatment. Murray said it isn’t just the cats the adoption could help.

“There’s been lots of studies done about pets helping people cope with stressful situations and through difficult times,” said Murray. “Cats and dogs tend to give you unconditional love so it’s always good to have a pet. ”

The special price won’t last long so Murray encouraged those interested to head to the shelter, and find the feline that fits their family best.
