Vehicle located in Fatal Hit-Skip Accident

Zanesville, OH- The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol has located the vehicle involved in Monday’s fatal hit-skip crash on U.S. 40.

According to patrol Sgt. Jeff Jirles, troopers located the 2005 Chevy pick-up Tuesday afternoon hidden behind a residence in Springfield  Township.

The truck had fled Monday evening from the scene of a fatal crash on U.S. 40.

Sgt. Jirles says the truck was located with the help of tips from the public as well as the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, South Zanesville Police Department and Zanesville City Police.

The fatal crash remains under investigation.
