UPDATE: I-70 at 152 Eastbound closure

LATEST UPDATE: As of 3PM both lanes have been re-opened

EARLIER: According to the Muskingum County Sherriff’s office I-70 at mile marker 152 Eastbound is closed. All traffic is currently being diverted through downtown which is leading to further delays. They are asking the public to seek alternative routes if possible.

According to EMA Director Jeff Jadwin, a crash occurred on I-70 Eastbound at mile marker 157 involving a cargo truck. The driver has no reported injuries, though powerlines were damaged and the tanker does have a fuel leak. Due to the accident, Eastbound on ramps at State Street and Underwood are currently closed.
