Leach Sentenced in Murder Case

Guernsey Co- A Guernsey County man was sentenced in a March 2024 murder case.

Sheriff Jeffrey Paden said 33-year-old Dalton John Leach will spend 16 and a half years to life in prison for the death of 55-year-old Maureen Ramey.

Authorities said Ramey was found deceased in her Quaker City home March 15. Authorities said she died from a single gunshot wound to the back.

Leach was Ramey’s live in boyfriend. He was later arrested at a casino in Indiana.

Officials said he later plead guilty to murder and grand theft of a motor vehicle.
