Man Burned in House Fire

S. Zanesville-  The South Zanesville Fire Department said one person suffered severe burns in a house fire Sunday.

The fire took place at 40 East Berkley Avenue around 2:15pm.

Fire Chief Russell Taylor said a man in the home suffered severe burns to his neck, face, hands, back as well as other parts of his body. He was taken to Genesis Hospital before being flown to OSU Medical Center by Medflight.

Chief Taylor said the home is a complete loss and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
