2015 ZDGA Golf Show

Golf enthusiasts flocked to Eaglesticks Golf Club Saturday for the annual Zanesville District Golf Association Golf Show.

Each year golfers get the chance to check out the newest golf equipment during the ZDGA Golf Show. Saturday, four manufacturers presented their newest equipment, and golfers had the chance to test out the new gear.

“We’ve had this for several years, it used to be called the Golf-O-Rama, now it’s the ZDGA golf show. This is the third year we’ve had it here at eaglesticks in the big tent and it’s fantastic,” said the head golf professional at Zanesville Country Club, Mike Durant.

The money raised during today’s golf show will go towards the ZDGA’s junior golf programs. Since 1998 the ZDAG has given out over $44,000 in sponsorship money.

“The cause for this is the ZDJ jr. program. We have a wonderful tournament program. We conduct tournaments in the summer and we also offer scholarships to selected kids in the summertime. We hand out over $4,000 in scholarships to help people go to college,” said Durant.

Saturday’s show ended at 3:00 p.m., but this is an annual event so you can look forward to attending the next show in 2016.
