Former U.S. Representative visits Zanesville

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Former U.S. Representative for Ohio’s 18th Congressional District, Zack Space, appeared in Zanesville Tuesday afternoon.
Space spoke at the John McIntire Library on behalf of Democratic Senate nominee, Ted Strickland.
Strickland has been the target of a large amount of attack advertisements during the past few months. Space said he was there to defend a good man.
“He has been the victim of an outrageous campaign. Not even leveled by his opponent, but outside interests, spending 40 million dollars. I’m precedented in Ohio history to try and restore his record,” said Space.
The ad campaign is being financed by outside interests. Ohio State Board of Education member, Stephanie Dodd, believes Zanesville is a perfect example of why Strickland deserves your vote.
“When Ted Strickland was governor, Zanesville is a perfect example of what Ted Strickland was able to do with the Avon plant that was constructed here, and brought 500 jobs to this community. It helped enforce his priority on supporting men and women in communities just like this,” said Dodd.
Ted Strickland will run against Senator, Rob Portman, in the November election.
