2024 Summer Lunch Program Kicks Off June 10th

ZANESVILLE, OH – The 2024 Summer Lunch Program will begin on Monday, June 10th and run through August 2nd.

This program provides free meals to any child ages 1 to 18 who resides within the Zanesville City School District. Meals are available for pickup at various locations, including Zanesville High School, Zane Grey Elementary and Zanesville Middle school.

Children can collect their meals at any listed location and take them home, as eating on site is not required. Breakfast will also be served at Zanesville City school buildings from 8:30 to 9:30 AM.

“It really provides a nutritious lunch and breakfast for any kid in the district, really in the county. Anybody can come and take part in it,” District Chef Stephen Vogelsang said.

This program runs Monday through Friday and is designed to make it easy for families to access the meals their children need to stay healthy and active all summer long.

“There are a lot of children in our school district and in our community that school lunch may be the only good meal they get for the day. So, by them being provided a lunch, that ensures that the kids will get a good lunch,” Food Service Manager at Zanesville City Schools Kevin Williams said.

For a complete list of locations and pickup times or the monthly menus, visit the Zanesville City Schools website.
