ZANESVILLE, OHIO- This years SOUPer Bowl is Sunday, October 16th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the OUZ/Zane State Campus Center.

Marcy White, Member, SOUPer Bowl Benefit Steering Committee, said that they are planning to serve over 1,000 people.

“Encourage people to come out, have a good time, eat lots of soup,” said White.

There will be chili, chicken noodle soup, potato soup, vegetable soup and other foods available.

“Marco Adornetto and his students have been working very hard in preparing the food for this event.”

Marco Adornetto, Head Chef at Zan State College, said that this is a great event for his students to learn how to serve mass quantities of food.

“We will do recipes for anywhere between 8 to 12 people in class,” said Adornetto.  “This is a much larger scale event.  Some students coming out of this program might be a banquet chef and they might have to do large events like this so it gives them a nice insight on how to do mass quantities of feeding.”

Both Adornetto and White encourage everyone to come out for a great event that’s supporting an even greater cause.
