The Martin Luther King Jr Book Scholarship is now open

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Community Foundation is now accepting applications for their Martin Luther King Jr Book scholarship.
Muskingum County high school seniors who are pursuing higher education at a two or four year college or university are encouraged to apply.
“Recipients will all have to be 2017 high school graduates,” MCCF, Educational Assistant Katie McCarty said. “They have to be a minority student. They have to have an 18 on the ACT when they apply. They have to be on a CP, AP, or honors track or currently taking college classes.”
The scholarship is for $500. Applicants must attach an official high school transcript that shows ACT and cumulative GPA in order to be considered.
“Applicants are required to attend a scholarship meeting here at scholarship central with one of our college guides. They have to do that by November 17th. The actual application is required to be turned in by November 21st,” McCarty said.
The scholarship application form is available at the Muskingum County Community Foundation and online at www.mccf.org. Â Applications must be post marked by November 21st.
