ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Fieldhouse has partnered with Ohio Bulldawgs Elite for softball clinics.

The Celine Wyatt Softball Academy is aimed at 6 year-olds and 9 year-olds and is focused on teaching girls to properly throw.

Tim Wyatt, President of Ohio Bulldawgs Elite and instructor for the clinic said its important to learn proper form.

“The proper mechanics is going to keep from injury, it’s going to allow the kids to develop if they want to continue on,” said Wyatt.

Wyatt said he’s thankful the Fieldhouse made this a possibility.

“We’ve wanted to do something for the community [so] this way we can give back ourselves,” said Wyatt.

The clinic is named after the late Celine Wyatt who was tragically lost 3 years ago.

Mick Amicone, Owner of the Fieldhouse, said he was honored to host the program.

“She really inspired us because of the passion and the love that she had for this game,” said Amicone. “We’re proud and humbled to put this program on and excited to see it happen.”

The clinics will take place for five consecutive Mondays, starting November 21st.
