ZANESVILLE, OH – Motorcycles, music, and community spirit are coming together this weekend in Zanesville. The 24th Annual Bikerfest is revving up for two days of celebration at Rushing Wind Biker Church.

This year’s event will take place on June 12th and 13th and will also celebrate the country’s 250th anniversary. Organizers say the Bikerfest is about more than motorcycles, it’s a chance to bring the community together while honoring veterans and other heroes.

“We’re expecting, and hoping, for a lot of veterans to come so we can all honor them for serving our country, as well as pastors, EMT’s, and fireman. We’re also looking forward to the state patrol police and deputy sheriff to come so we can recognize them for their duties and all of the lives that they’ve saved. They’re heroes to us.” Rushing Wind Biker Church Pastor, Michael McGuire said.

The weekend kicks off on Friday at 7 p.m. with a performance by the Rushing Wind Band. The fun continues Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. with a free breakfast and a bike blessing, and wraps up with another band performance at 7 p.m. There will be plenty of food and entertainment, and everyone is welcome to attend.

“One of the things that people can expect here at Bikerfest is a lot of motorcycles. Come out, bring your children to see the motorcycles and talk to the bikers. You’ll see a lot of the heroes walking around, and hopefully a lot of veterans. It’s going to be a great weekend honoring our heroes.” Pastor McGuire said.

The Rushing Wind Biker Church is located at 5715 East Pike in Zanesville. More information can be found by contacting the church at (740) 923-5002 or visiting their Facebook page.
