28-year-old Charged in Meth Bust

 The Perry County Sheriff’s Office releases the name of the man charged in connection to a meth bust this week. 

According to the Sheriff’s Office 28-year-old Gary C. Gardner Junior, of Roseville, was charged with one count of manufacturing methamphetamine with a juvenile specification.  The charge is a felony of the first degree. 

The Sheriff’s Office said Gardner is set to appear before Judge Dean Wilson Friday, December 12 for a bond hearing. 

Officials said though only one charge was filed against Gardner at this time additional charges could be filed once the case is presented to the Perry County Grand Jury.

Gardner Jr was arrested Tuesday after a search warrant was executed at 10185 Township Road 57 in Roseville. Officials said during the search the located an active methamphetamine lab on the property along with other drug manufacturing equipment. Authorities said there was evidence found that suggested that meth was being produced at this location for some time.

Agents also found a 2-year-old and an 11-year-old child present at the home during the search. The Perry County Children Services was called into investigate the welfare of the children, and they have been removed from the home.

Gardner Jr. is currently being held at the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville, Ohio.
