2nd Fire At Vacant Sharon Ave. Home
The Zanesville Fire Department is reporting that another fire happened at a vacant house on Sharon Avenue. Fire Chief Craig Stemm says Sunday morning around 4:00 a call came in that the structure – which has utilities disconnected – was again on fire. Stemm says it took crews around two to three hours to extinguish the flames. The Fire Chief says it could be kids playing around and lighting the vacant house on fire, but he is not sure. Stemm says the house is scheduled to be torn down by the city in the near future. The earlier fire on May 16th also remains under investigation and is considered suspicious.
