Carl V. “Jake” Roberts, Jr. 91, of Zanesville, took his final journey on the wings of an angel to be united with his heavenly father on May 22, 2018 with his loving wife by his side. He was born on Nov. 29, 1926 in Blue Rock, Ohio. He retired from Burnham Corp. after 25 years of service to follow his passion of farming. He was a loving husband and amazing father. He leaves behind to mourn his passing his wife of 65 years Elsie Elizabeth Burgess Roberts. Six children Ron (Sharen) Hunter, Linda Miracle, Carl (Meloney) Roberts, Tamie (Pete) Meredith, Tim (Jane) Roberts, and Dave (Carol) Roberts. One sister Elizabeth Wilson. Seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl V. Roberts, Sr. and Mary Francis Camp Roberts. Two sisters and their spouses Anna Echelberry and  Mary Dingey. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sat. May 26, 2018 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Pat Wiseman-Jones officiating.
