5 Arrested In Meth Investigaton

The Perry County Sheriff’s Department arrested five of six suspects in a recent methamphetamine investigation. Sheriff Barker says deputies raided at home at 7280 State Route 345 in New Lexington. Barker says 51-year-old John Filkins III is facing two counts of unlawful purchase of drugs. Barker says seized in the search were both prescription drugs and marijuana. No meth lab supplies were found. Also arrested was 51-year-old Bryan Wolfe of Crooksville. He was charged with one count of unlawful purchase of drugs. Barker says their investigation found that both Filkins and Wolfe were aiding Robert Walker III in buying pseudoephedrine from local pharmacies. Deputies also arrested 28-year-old Charles Talbert of New Lexington and 47-year-old Holly Bankes of Corning. Talbert was arrested on warrants out of Perry County Court for manufacture of meth and drug trafficking. Bankes was arrested on a probation violation. Sheriff Barker says deputies are still searching for 47-year-old Keith Watts of Roseville. He is wanted for manufacture of meth. The Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force assisted the Sheriff’s Office in this case.
