COSHOCTON, Ohio – Fall harvests furnish a flood of flavors that people find favorable year-round.

The 53rd annual Apple Butter Stirrin’ Festival is tastefully celebrating the sights, sounds and scents of Ohio’s fall heritage this weekend in Roscoe Village.

“The Apple Butter Stirrin’ Festival is a crafts event. Mainly we have handmade and homemade craft vendors, about a hundred of them that come into the village. We also have live bluegrass and folk music all throughout the event, all three days. We bring a little bit of the historic aspect into it but people can also get some shopping in and we have some great food vendors as well. So lots of different stuff going on,” Historic Roscoe Village Special Events Coordinator Clarrisa Roof said.

There are plenty of activities to watch and even participate in such as tin punching and candle dipping for the adults as well as pumpkin decorating and craft assembly for the kids.

“It’s really important to Roscoe Village because it is actually a fundraiser for our nonprofit,” Roof said. “So the money that we make, the revenue that we make off of the admissions sales to this event is how we continue to operate the village for the rest of the year. So that’s how we continue to teach people about the history of the canal era. With your admission to the Apple Butter Stirrin’, you are also admitted to our Living History Exhibits, which you can also tour year-round, we’re open 7-days-a-week, and you can come and take a tour of those.”

The admission is $8 dollars for adults, with children 12 and under admitted for free. The festival runs the entire length of the street and will be open from 10-to-6 Friday and Saturday and from 10-to-5 Sunday.
