67th National Day of Prayer

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The 67th annual National Day of Prayer was recognized in Zanesville Thursday evening.
Members from many different churches joined together at New Hope Gospel Church to come together in prayer. This year’s theme was “Pray for America-Unity”.
“National Day of Prayer theme this year is unity. We need unity, communities must come together, you know our nation is really divided, division is bad,” said Pastor Joe DiVincenzo. “So we’re looking for unity through prayer so we can conquer all the problems that our nation is having.”
Prayers were said for all of the churches in the communities as well as for first responders, schools, and those in government. DiVincezo said he hopes this event will allow people to realize that communities need to come together more to create change and realize the power of prayer.
“Actually the power of prayer,” said DiVincenzo “That they would realize we need to come together more than just one day, no matter what the nomination, everybody prays to the Lord and I believe the Lord will move.”
Many members of the community were in attendance, including the Mayor and Congressman Bill Johnson.
