6th Annual Community Baby Shower
One local organization is stepping up to help moms in need.
Riesbeck’s in South Zanesville is holding its 6th annual Community Baby Shower this Friday to benefit Operation Feed’s Special Needs Pantry. Customers interested in donating to the cause can purchase items in store, outside on the tables, or the provided “grab bags” full of baby items. There will also be food and activities for those in attendance.
“We’re going to have a table set up and some other fun activities,” said Events Coordinator, Jane Dombroski. “Our customers can purchase a ‘grab bag’ that already has some baby items in it and then donate those to the pantry. Again, this is a collection only from the community, so we’re really looking for their support.”
After Friday’s event, moms in need can contact the pantry to schedule a time for them to pick up donated items. Dombroski said the event is always a success, and without the community’s help it wouldn’t be possible.
“This is the 6th year we’ve been doing this, and thanks in part to the community to really make this a success for our moms to be and again for those who can’t maybe afford some items for their babies,” she said.
The event is this Friday from 11a.m. to 4p.m. at Riesbeck’s on June Parkway in South Zanesville.
Items needed: baby formula, baby food, shampoo & lotion, baby juice, pacifiers, snack items, diapers, soap & body wash, teething items, wipes, wash cloths and bottles.
