The Biddy League Super Bowl

The Biddy League Super Bowl

Two Biddy leagues squared off to see who would win the championship game Sunday.

The Biddy League Super Bowl Game was held at Sam Hatfield Stadium Sunday at noon. Nelsonville York and John Glenn played in the JV division tournament and Trimble and John Glenn in the Varsity Division. Each team are league champions in their own leagues. Sunday they faced off for the championship game. We spoke to the Youth Football Director Jason Smith and he told us this game is very important to the kids.

“It’s a special thing for these kids to be able to represent their community as a champion, and play a champion of another league to see whose better the better team. Ultimately be safe and be healthy when they’re done but, to enjoy a good game of football,” said Smith.

The first contest were the JV teams, which are kids in third and fourth grade. Then the varsity teams played ages range between fifth and sixth grade. Smith told us the players were extremely excited for the game.

“The kids are super excited. They are thrilled to be here. Thrilled to make their team the champions,” said Smith.

To get your child involved its $45 to sign up the first child, and $35 every other child.
